Data Privacy Month

Data Privacy Month, commemorates the January 28, 1981 signing of Convention 108, the first legally binding international treaty dealing with privacy and data protection. This month long initiative is an international effort to create awareness about the importance of respecting privacy and safeguarding personal data.

In an effort to maintain the university’s commitment to protecting the privacy and security of personal information of our community members, and to celebrate Data Privacy Month, the GW Privacy Office is partnering with GW Information Security and GW Data Governance to bring you a series of virtual workshops, focused on privacy and information security principles and best practices.

Sign up to attend one or more of the privacy events scheduled for January and February!
