The George Washington University is committed to following best practices concerning data privacy and protection of the personal information of our community members. Privacy at GW refers to the handling of the personal information we collect in the administration of the university, specifically: the intended and proper collection and use of this information, its proper disclosure, providing the right to access and the ability to amend the information in our care. The use or disclosure of personal information by the university includes only those parties who have lawful or legitimate educational interests to use or disclose such data, such as school officials, or a person or company with which the university has contracted to process the information on the university's behalf.
